Sheriff: Man arrested for threatening ex-girlfriend
A rural Firth man is in jail after authorities say he tried strangling his ex girlfriend. Sheriff Terry Wagner says 19–year-old Wayne Schroeder was upset that his relationship with his 20–year old girlfriend was ending.
Wagner says on November 27th he was at his parents home near Princeton road when he got into a verbal argument with her, which eventually led to a physical altercation. “He attempted to strangle her, hit her with a closed fist and pulled a shotgun and pointed it at her in a threatening fashion,” Wagner said.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at the home and recovered the shotgun. Among other things Schroeder was arrested for domestic assault and terrorist threats. The victim is okay.
