Police investigating shots fired overnight
Police say two shots were fired this morning near 27th and Cornhusker. Captain Jim Davidsaver says no one was hit with the bullets, but a 26-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being hit in the face with the gun.
Police say the victim was having a party in his house at 2525 Cleveland when around 4 a.m. two men knocked on his door. According to Police reports, the victim told the men to leave, but instead they struck him with the gun and then fired two shots in the air.
Witnesses say the two men left in a green and brown late 90's Chevy pickup. Captain Davidsaver says details are sketchy because witnesses were intoxicated at the time, and Police were conducting interviews through an interpreter because of a language barrier.
No one was injured by the gunfire.
