Skeletal remains found near Blue Hill

The Nebraska State Patrol and the Webster County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of skeletal remains found near Blue Hill, Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol  says at about 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, a landowner called the Webster County Sheriff's Office to report the discovery of the remains on his property on the north edge of Blue Hill.  The remains were found by a group of teenagers playing in the area.  The Webster County Sheriff's office says it appears foul play was not involved.

The State Patrol says the remains appeared to have been in the area for some time and were covered by tall grass and melting snow.  An autopsy and forensic dental identification is planned.   The investigation continues.
