ABOUT 50 NEBRASKA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD SOLDIERS  WILL BE WELCOMED HOME FRIDAY FROM A YEAR LONG DEPLOYMENT IN AFGHANISTAN.

THE GUARD'S AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM SPENT THE YEAR HELPING FARMERS INCREASE THEIR PRODUCTION OF FARM-BASED FOOD AND LIVESTOCK. FOR YEARS, THE TALIBAN HAS OFFERED MONEY FOR POPPYSEEDS USED IN HEROIN PRODUCTION.

THE WELCOME HOME CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE IN LINCOLN FRIDAY MORNING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
