Special Quilt on display honoring fallen soldiers

Soldiers who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan are being remembered in a very special way. Their legacies are carried on in the form of two quilts. The first is the Lost Heroes Art Quilt. It shows a childhood photo of a fallen soldier from each state.

The second is the National Iraq/Afghanistan memorial quilt, which lists the names of 68 of Nebraska's fallen soldiers. Their families say it's about not forgetting.

“Sometimes they just became a statistic and with their faces and their story…they'll always be someone,” Pat Mracek said.

Both quilts will be on display at the International Quilt Study Center and Museum until Sunday, July 3rd.
