The suspect accused of stabbing a man to death in Lincoln earlier this week was formally charged Thursday. Angelo Pedrosa faces four charges including second degree murder. Angelo Pedrosa is being held in the county jail on a million dollar bond.

He is accused of killing Peter Hardy and injuring two others at a house near 9th and Park Monday afternoon. Thursday he was charged with second degree murder, which carries a punishment of 20 years to life in prison.

He also faces charges of assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Police say Pedrosa had gone to the house to collect drug money from a female companion who lived there. When Pedrosa was told the woman wasn't there, police say he insisted on looking for himself, and that's when a fight broke out.

Pedrosa's attorney declined to comment. His friends were also advised to not say anything.
