State Farm Jobs Will Stay In Lincoln

State Farm Insurance announced Thursday that it will keep its processing center in Lincoln and add jobs. The company will add about 140 workers to the one thousand already at its Lincoln center.

State Farm is consolidating its operations and has reduced 25 regions to 13 zones. Lincoln had been competing with Woodbury, Minnesota, for the center, that will serve several states. State Farm's north-central regional offices in Woodbury covered Minnesota and Wisconsin, while west-central operations in Lincoln covered Nebraska, Iowa and the Dakotas.

Both operations are now in what State Farm calls its heartland zone. State Farm said Lincoln will serve as the region's primary operation's center.
