State Patrol Investigating Former State Worker

The State Patrol is investigating to see if there was possible illegal activity by a man who worked for the State's Tobacco Prevention and Control Program. Rock Mueller is a twice-convicted felon who was hired by the State 3 years ago while he still behind bars. He quit this last January.

An audit released today outlines a number of concerns related to his employment and his actions while on the job. The audit says Mueller altered a contractor's bid, so it would be awarded a project. State Senator Ernie Chambers says someone will have to be held accountable for putting a thief in a position to steal again.
