Seward is seeing its share of flooding as well.

The Big Blue River continues to flow over its levees.

Officials said one family was evacuated because they were surrounded by water.  Other residents have had to lay down sandbags and pump out their basements.

Officials said Plum Creek has receded, but remains a concern.

Residents we talked to agree.

"I'm just kind of keeping my eye on the Blue," Jake Miller said.  "Because if the Blue plugs up, then this one plugs up and then we got bigger problems here."

Highway 34 west of Seward is closed down.  Concordia athletes and other volunteers stacked sandbags across it to try to keep the flood waters from going farther into the city.
