Two suspects were arrested around 5 p.m. Wednesday following a standoff in Minden. According to Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), the suspects arrested were wanted in connection with a home robbery that involved a weapon in Harlan County that occurred last week.

The suspects, Brock Teel, 29, and Rylie Bryson, 18, were inside the home that authorities surrounded at 218 East 7th Street.

NSP SWAT were called to assist around 1 p.m. During the standoff, several announcements were made from outside the house to try to get the suspects to surrender voluntarily, according to NSP. The suspects did not respond to the announcements or phone calls.

According to NSP, a police service dog and robot were also used before troopers entered the home. A NSP K9 detected that someone was behind a closed bedroom door which allowed SWAT troopers to position themselves where they could break windows into the room where the suspects were thought to be. Following that, more announcements were made and the suspects were taken into custody around 5 p.m.

NSP said they found weapons and drug paraphernalia inside the home. The investigation is ongoing.
