In Nebraska, there are more than 280 schools who participated in the year-long season, and Saturday it was the state finals for more than 800 archers.

For some of them it's not just about winning, but about competing on such a big stage that makes this event so great.

"It's just to show what you accomplished over the months that you have been practicing, and to actually compete against other archers, and have some fun along the way,” Logan Hershberger Freshman Milford High School.

The state finals for archery have been held in Lincoln for almost 15 years.
