Caleb Lightbourn is transferring from Nebraska.

The senior punter entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal Monday, then on Tuesday officially announced his intention to leave the Huskers on Twitter.

"I seek a fresh start where I can be myself again and reach my both athletically and academically," Lightbourn said in his Tweet.

Lightbourn filled in for the late Sam Foltz during the 2016 season, following Foltz's tragic death.

Last season, he had 24 punts which went an average of 41.6 yards. Lightbourn’s longest punt was 52 yards and he had zero punts inside the 20-yard line. He was replaced by Isaac Armstrong midway through the year.
