A special senior prom took place at Tabitha Health Center in Lincoln Thursday evening.

Every year, GracePoint by Tabitha hosts an annual spring dinner and dance for it's residents. This year's theme was "Springtime in the Country."

It was complete with music, dancing and food.

The event even had a petting zoo! Three different Lancaster County 4-H clubs brought rabbits, goats, and baby chicks for seniors to enjoy.

After enjoying a delicious meal, residents ventured onto the dance floor arm-in-arm with volunteers.

"They talked about it for weeks," Megan Novell, the Assistant Administrator at GracePointe Assisted Living said. "They love it. Some of them I think are a little worn out from all the dancing but they absolutely love it."

Delaney Patten, a volunteer at the event, said she loves to see the seniors smile.

"Oh my gosh my heart just melts," Patten said. "It's like one of the greatest things in the entire world."

The event was a great opportunity for both younger and older generations to spend some time together.
