State Soccer: East, Crete fall to top seeds; Columbus wins semifinal
Millard West 2, Lincoln East 1, OT:
The Spartans got the tying goal in the first half from junior Delaney Roberts, but a tenacious defensive effort couldn't hold off the top-seeded Wildcats, who got the game-winner seven minutes into the overtime period.
Omaha Skutt 2, Crete 0:
After a scoreless first half, Skutt broke the stalemate late in the second period and tacked on an insurance goal with seven minutes to play. Two of Crete's three losses on the season were to the top-ranked teams in Class A and B.
Columbus 2, Lexington 1:
The Discoverers rode two first half goals from Ivan Rios Lopez to get out to a 2-0 lead, and after Lexington closed to 2-1 just before halftime, Columbus' defense held things down in the second half.
