OSHA cites company for trench collapse in Lincoln that injured 2
A Nebraska company has been cited after two employees suffered serious injuries when a trench collapsed in Lincoln.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited T.H. Construction Co., proposing penalties of $106,078 for one willful violation of its trench safety standards.
Two employees suffered injuries when a portion of the trench wall caved in as they repaired fiber optic cable near NW 56th and West Aurora Street in November of 2018.
OSHA cited the company for failing to use protective systems to prevent a collapse.
