Lincoln family uses lemonade stand to fight childhood cancer
How does having a cold glass of lemonade while helping fight a disease sound?
A Lincoln family has set up Alex's Lemonade Stand for the fourth straight year. The aim of the stand is to raise awareness, support families, and fight childhood cancer.
"Just people, donating just a dollar is a lot when everyone comes together," Cale Suckstorf, one of the volunteers, said.
Members of the Suckstorf family were more than happy to serve glasses of lemonade to supporters for a free will donation.
"Alex's concept was one cup at a time so we have kind of just jumped on that," Tara Suckstorf, another volunteer said. "Every little bit counts and we are hoping that it really does."
The stands were set up at the Fallbrook Super Saver as well as the Pine Lake Super Saver. They were out there until 6 p.m. Friday evening and will be open Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m to 6 p.m.
