Will Bolt adds another commit for Husker baseball
Drew Mackie, an outfielder from Liberty, Missouri, announced on Wednesday that he would be committing to the University of Nebraska to play baseball. Originally, Mackie was committed to play for Texas Tech, but said on his Twitter account that he was unable to attend the school.
“Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be attending TTU,” Mackie wrote on his Twitter page. “I would like to thank everyone for their support throughout this process and the programs that showed interest on short notice.”
Mackie is a member of the class of 2019. He plays both in the outfield and third base. According to Prep Baseball Report, Mackie is 6-foot-0 and weighs 170 pounds.
Mackie is the third player to commit to NU baseball coach Will Bolt’s team since Friday.
