Former Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong can still sling it.

The ex-Husker received the Indoor Football League's Rookie of the Year away on Wednesday.

Armstrong, the quarterback for the Nebraska Danger in Grand Island, finished fourth in the 10-team league with 37 touchdown passes in his first season. He also tossed 128.5 yards a game, which ranked fifth in the league. The Danger finished the regular season in fifth place with a 7-7 record.

Of course, Armstrong holds Nebraska school records in career passing yards, passing completions, touchdown passes and career total offense.
