At least two Amtrak trains were left stuck at stations in Nebraska Tuesday morning due to flooding, the company said in a social media post.

One of the trains, which departed from Chicago Monday, stopped in Lincoln because of reports of water over the rail between McCook and Holdrege, Another train, which left Emeryville on Sunday, was stopped at McCook for the same reason.

One passenger at the Lincoln station told Channel 8 Eyewitness News the train had been stopped around 2:30 a.m., and said he was told by operators they might not start moving until noon.

Amtrak said in a tweet at 10:45 a.m. that the train from Chicago was headed toward Holdrege where it would wait until the track was clear.
