3 arrested, $200K worth of drugs found in I-80 traffic stop
Authorities arrested three men after reportedly finding more than $200,000 worth of drugs during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 Thursday.
The Seward County Sheriff's Office said deputies stopped a minivan near mile marker 379, and was able to smell a powerful marijuana odor coming from the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle turned up 20 pounds of marijuana, 2,397 vials of THC oil and 358 packages of THC edibles, SCSO said.
The driver Dangelo Trejo, 20, of Zion, IL and both passengers Alexander Quinonez, 19, Zion, IL and Luis Trejo, 37, of Zion, IL were arrested on drug charges.
The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $207,000.
