Local teens hear from girl boss panel
Some local high school girls received insight and advice from area professionals.
Those professionals were all women, and Channel 8's own Megan Conway was honored to be a part of it.
It was called a "girl boss panel."
The organization Lincoln G.O.L.D. organized it.
Juniors and seniors listened to women from different backgrounds and industries, and were able to ask any questions that came to mind.
"I really wanna go into the medical field, but my parents don't do anything in the medical field, so it's really cool to hear someone else's experience and get advice from them, because it's something my parents won't be able to offer to me," says Maddie Zaborowski, Lincoln G.O.L.D.
The teens were able to learn how to become successful and do some networking.
The Lincoln G.O.L.D. organization works to help prepare local girls for college and life's future endeavors.
Each month, they also do community service projects to give back.
