Crews battled a house fire in southeast Lincoln Friday morning.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue received a call just before 11 a.m. that smoke was coming from a home north of 84th and Old Cheney and the structure was on fire. Fire Chief Bob Watton said the fire was contained and extinguished within 3 minutes.

Upon investigation, LFR discovered the fire was gas fed by a propane tank on the East side exterior of the home. No person or animal was inside the house at the time and no one was harmed in the event.

5 fire trucks were at the scene.

This is a developing story, we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
