Lincoln Non-Profit Continues to Change Lives
For over 20 years, the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) has offered resources to Lincoln's growing community. However, they want people to know their services are not just limited to family and child care.
Advocates at CAC work with people from all walks of life and try to give everyone a chance at a successful future. Since their founding, they have grown nearly 1,000 percent.
"Seeing that light come on for them of 'oh I understand now what i need to do to protect my kids I know how to have conversation with them about sexual abuse... I know the steps now that I can take to help reduce my child's risk of becoming a victim of sexual abuse or child abuse,'" said CAC Training and Prevention Director Laura Opfer.
Currently, CAC offers services to 17 counties in and around Lincoln. They aim to provide education and resources to local communities.
