60 businesses pass, 2 fail alcohol inspections in Buffalo, Kearney counties

KEARNEY, Neb. — Dozens of businesses across Buffalo and Kearney counties were checked for alcohol compliance, with only two failing.
The Nebraska State Patrol said investigators held inspections on Friday, checking 62 businesses.
NSP said two of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 97%.
In Buffalo County, 47 businesses were inspected with one selling alcohol to a minor. In Kearney County, 15 businesses were inspected with one selling alcohol to a minor.
The businesses that sold alcohol to a minor were the following:
- Hy-Vee Store #1323 – Kearney (checked ID, sold to minor)
- Main Street Liquor – Minden (checked ID, sold to minor)
NSP said businesses that fail the inspections are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
