Tourism spending up in Nebraska
Tourists' spending is up in Nebraska, spending in 2018 totaled $3.4 billion, that's according to a new study by Dean Runyan Associates.
That's a 5.4 percent increase from the year before, which is a significantly larger increase from 1.9 percent the year before than, according to the Nebraska Tourism Commission's Executive Director.
Nebraska's tourism spending is also above the national average.
Officials credit an increased effort to get people to visit the state.
