Man arrested with 163 pounds of marijuana in I-80 stop, officials say
Authorities arrested a 58-year-old Illinois man Monday after reportedly finding a large amount of drugs in his vehicle during a traffic stop near miler marker 395 on I-80.
Lancaster County Court records show Terry Tucker was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver. He appeared in court Monday where a judge set his bond at $10,000.
Investigators said in a probably cause affidavit that a K9 detected an odor of drugs coming from Tucker's vehicle. A search turned up 164 individual vacuum-sealed bags of raw marijuana, which weighed in at a little more than 163 pounds, according to the document.
Tucker, who filed bond Wednesday, is scheduled to appear in court again next month.
