Authorities on Thursday released new details in the investigation into the shooting of a woman at a Lincoln apartment complex.

Lincoln police said 26-year-old Linda Sonthixay showed up at a hospital Wednesday morning with a gunshot wound to her chest.

Sonthixay reported two men came into her apartment near 17th and B Street around 11 a.m., and one of them shot her in the chest. Police said Sonthixay's wounds were not considered life-threatening.

Police said they believe the shooting was targeted. Multiple people were with the victim at the time of the shooting, though some had left by the time officers arrived on the scene.

Investigators discovered more than one shell casing at the scene, but said that did not indicate multiple shots had been fired.

Witnesses reported seeing two men in hooded sweatshirts in the area getting into a white Honda Civic. No arrests have been made.
