After Tuesday's winter weather, streets across Lincoln may be a little icy for the Wednesday morning commute.
Starting Tuesday afternoon, city crews were out applying granular salt pre-wet with brine to bridges, snow routes and major roads to avoid icing. Crews continued to monitor roads overnight and into this morning as well.
Crews report wet and partially snow-covered streets. Drivers can expect main roads to be in pretty good shape, but side roads and neighborhood streets are are still slick and icy. Drivers on all roads should drive cautiously and allow themselves extra time to get to where they're going.
