Students receive Kindles in drawing

Some Brownell Elementary students received a big gift Thursday.

Four students won Kindles during a drawing. It was all part of a reading partnered with the Cotner Masonic Lodge. This is the tenth year the Cotner Masons have given prizes to the kids.

“The whole point of this is to give back to the community and we've picked Brownell to give back this kind of program,” Jerry Pigsley said.

Usually, the Cotner Masons give out bikes, but this year four kids between Kindergarten and fifth grade received a Kindle that can hold 14-hundred books.
