Suspect Cited For Bus Scare
Police have tracked down the man they believe jumped on a Lincoln school bus Thursday afternoon with a knife in his pocket.
21-year-old Andrew Alvaro was cited Friday night at his residence, not far from the intersection where the incident happened.
Alvaro was ticketed for disturbing the peace, which is a misdemeanor, and he was not jailed.
LPS bus driver Edward Rypkema says Thursday when he stopped to let out a student, near Calvert Street and St. Mary's Avenue, a man jumped onto the bus.
When Rypkema noticed a knife in the man's pocket, he shoved him out of the bus, keeping him away from the two five-year-olds left on board.
