Suspect In Lincoln Stabbing Arrested
Lincoln Police have made an arrest in a Thursday night stabbing in Havelock Park. The victim is 19 year-old Rome Stroughter. Tuesday afternoon, police arrested 30 year-old Christopher Davis of Lincoln in connection with the crime.
Rome says he and a large group of friends were hanging out at the park when the man approached, and stabbed him in the neck. Lincoln Police found Christopher Davis in a shed behind a house at 6520 Morrill Avenue, just a few blocks from the crime scene Tuesday afternoon. Rome says it was an argument over a bike that led up to the stabbing.
After several days, Rome was released from the hospital, and now that a suspect is arrested, he and his family say they will rest a little easier. Rome is expected to make a full recovery. Suspect Christopher Davis, now faces first degree assault charges.
