Teens arrested for shooting boy with BB Gun

Lincoln police say they arrested two teenagers after they fired a BB gun at 16-year-old boy walking down the street.

Police say a boy was walking from Pius X to his vehicle when he heard a male yelling at him from a passing vehicle. They say when he turned toward the voice, he saw the passenger fire a BB gun in his direction.

The victim was struck in the chin, causing a hole with swelling and bleeding. The victim's friends were able to get the license plate number and officers found the vehicle. The driver, 16-year-old Jaden Reiman was cited for Accessory to a Felony. The passenger, 16-year-old Trey Gorton was cited for 2nd degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Officers believe the two teens are also responsible for a similar disturbance that happened April 5th near 70th and O streets. A couple and their 3 small children were taking a walk when a passing vehicle pointed a handgun at them.

Gorton was also cited for Terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony, while Reiman received another citation for accessory to a felony. They were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
