Teens Stuck in Culvert

Officials say two teens got stuck in a culvert shortly after tonight's rain storm. Authorities believe they were just playing near the culvert, when heavy rains hit, trapping them inside. A witness says a man taking measurements of the running water heard some kids screaming for help, from inside the culvert. He went to get help. Lincoln Fire called in their dive team, and sent one person searching, nearly 150 yards out. Eventually the seventeen year old came out of the tunnel by himself. The thirteen year-old also came out by himself, but on the other side of the tunnel, roughly eleven blocks away. Both boys made it out okay, without any injuries. Officials stress the culvert is an area that often gets flooded, and no one should be playing around it.
