Temporary intersection closures

Weather permitting, Constructors, Inc., of Lincoln, Nebraska, plans to close the intersections of 33rd Street and N-2, 40th Street and N-2, and 48th Street and N-2 on Friday, July 15, at 7:00 p.m.  The intersections of 40th Street and N-2 and 33rd Street and N-2 are scheduled to be closed on Monday, July 18, at 7:00 p.m. 

The intersections will be closed to traffic in all directions until 6:00 a.m. the following morning, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.

The closures are to allow for the milling and placement of asphalt in the area intersections.  All other intersections will remain open and N-2 will continue to be closed from 27th Street to Old Cheney Rd.  Traffic will be detoured around the closures via Pioneers Blvd.

For traffic north of N-2, and Old Cheney Road for traffic south of N-2.

The Department of Roads’ project manager is Brian Schoen of Lincoln.  Motorists are asked to watch for detour signage and as always, drive safely through construction zones.
