Lincoln, Neb. – Stars defenseman Eero Teräväinen was named to Team Finland for the 2016 U18 Five Nations Tournament to be played from Nov. 1-6 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.The round-robin tournament will also feature the United States, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland. "It’s a huge honor for me to play in a Finnish jersey," Teräväinen said.
Teräväinen has previously represented Finland at the 2016 U17 Five Nations Tournament, the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup and the 2015 World U17 Hockey Challenge. The 5’11" 170 pound defenseman has 10 points in 16 games for his country.
"I have experience and I think it brings me a lot of confidence," Teräväinen said. "I have a huge role on this year’s team."
Teräväinen has one assist through eight games with the Stars. He is uncommitted in his first USHL season.
