The Nebraska volleyball team won’t be seeing anything different when it opens NCAA Tournament play this Friday night against Hofstra.

The Huskers have played one of the nation’s toughest schedules, including a stretch that featured six of eight matches against top-10 opponents. The Big Red feel they’ve been tested for the big stage.

“We’ve already played final four matches,” coach John Cook said Sunday. “You can be worn down or battle tested, and I just think for a young team like this to go through all those matches we went through, and that stretch we went through, even though we didn’t find success, really taught us the level we have to play at and the mindset we have to play at. That was great for our younger players that was great for Lexi, I think we’re well prepared for whatever we’re going to come up against in the NCAA tournament.”

No. 7 Nebraska hosts Hofstra this Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
