Three Lincoln Businesses Accused of Security and Health Care Fraud
A 17-count Federal Indictment is accusing three Lincoln businesses and individuals with social security and health care fraud.
US Attorney Mike Heavican says the indictment was unsealed Tuesday. The indictment names Blanket Corporation's Serenity Place Assisted Care Center, Independent Living Apartments and Stoney Ridge Day treatment and Wellness Clinic.
The indictment alleges that between 1997 through 2003, the businesses and three individuals conspired to steal social security and disability payments from clients. Blanket Corporation's attorney, Bernard Glaser, says all of the allegations are false. Glaser says the company has cooperated for more than two years in the investigation.
