As part of its continued commitment to outstanding customer service and in an effort to respond to customers' needs locally, Time Warner Cable announced today that it is adding 36 new jobs in its customer care department in Lincoln.
The local office will add 15 customer care, sales, and billing employees as well as 14 technical service representatives. There are also openings for lead and supervisor positions. Applications are now being accepted at www.timewarnercable.com and the company plans to begin filling the positions in the next few weeks. Training will be provided.
“As we increase the amount of new products and services we offer, we are constantly evaluating our workforce and the level of support our customers need,” said Area General Manager Steve Randell. “We also know that our customers want to talk to someone locally as much as possible and by adding these positions, the majority of incoming calls from Nebraska customers will be answered here.”
Time Warner Cable Director of Human Resources Regina Henson said qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or a GED, as well as a technical degree and/or equivalent experience in a related field with emphasis in selling cable, Internet, or digital phone services. “We're looking for individuals who can deliver quality customer service and work well in a fast-paced, team environment,” Henson said.
Henson said Time Warner Cable will provide extensive training for the new hires and will focus on development and mentoring opportunities within the company.
The additions come following a year when Time Warner Cable added more than 50 high definition channels, launched Start Over for digital cable customers, and added Powerboost to its Road Runner high-speed Internet service. Since the launch of Start Over in October 2009, the new feature has been used nearly 1 million times and the company has seen an increase in HD usage as well.
