Service to Time Warner Cable returned to many Lincoln customers at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The outage began just before noon affecting cable service and Roadrunner Internet service. A contractor, not affiliated with Time Warner, struck a fiber bundle causing ten percent of customers to lose service. Time Warner says staff was dispatched immediately to work on the problem.
A recorded message on the Time Warner Cable customer service line said the outage affected large sections of Lincoln including downtown and southwest Lincoln.
