Time Warner Cable digital phone service restored

Time Warner Cable's digital phone service for thousands of people in Lincoln was down for several hours on Wednesday.   Lancaster County Emergency Management Director Doug Ahlberg says service returned just after 10:00 P.M.

Ahlberg took control of the situation five hours into the malfunction, when 911 calls began being affected.  In case of an emergency, customers could go to a local fire station or to hamm radio operators at major intersections.

Chris Poysa was one of the 23,000 TWC customers in Lancaster County without service.  She says, “When the sun sets, it's always unnerving because you hear noises or crashing or someone needs something, you don't want to go running down the street in the dark trying to find someone.”
