Trinity Lutheran sends holiday boxes to needy children

Some Lincoln second graders are sending holiday cheer to children overseas.
It's all part of “Operation Christmas Child.” The Trinity Lutheran second grade class will not be doing a gift exchange this year. Instead, they each brought in $5 worth of items they think other kids might enjoy.
Tuesday, they filled their boxes which will then be shipped to children who are less fortunate.
“We're sending toys to kids to help make them happy. I think their reaction is going to be, they're going to be really surprised,” Second grader Suzie Proctor said.
Their teacher says the class has inspired other parents and family members to donate to the cause.”
