UPDATE: Two alarm fire at 12th and Sumner in Lincoln

Lincoln Fire and Rescue was busy Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a home near 12th and Sumner. It happened after 2 p.m. There was a  report of flames coming out of a second story window. Fire Investigator Don Gross said firefighters had a hard time getting to the fire at first, but it was knock it down within 30 minutes. The homeowner was not home at the time, but he will not be able to stay in the house for a while. There were no injuries. The cause is still under investigation. There are no damage estimates at this time.

The Lincoln Fire Department is reporting a two-alarm fire at 12th and Sumner Streets in Central Lincoln.  You can see the smoke from our TowerCam and no injuries have been reported at this time.  We have a reporter at the scene and will bring you the very latest at 5,6, and 10p.m.
