Two Arrested in Morning Robberies
Lincoln Poice have arrested two men in connection with a string of morning robberies. Police arrested 30 year old Carnell Jimmerson for three counts of robbery and 35 year old Tiuana Johnson for two counts of accessory to a felony.
The first one happened at around 2 o'clock Tuesday morning. Police say a man walked into Roc's Stop and Shop on 27th and South streets and asked for a pack of cigarettes. While the clerk turned around, the man walked around the counter. That's when the clerk felt what she thought was a gun against her back. The suspect took money from the cash register and cigarettes.
The next one was around 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. Officers were called to another similar robbery at the Roc's Stop and Shop on 56th and Holdrege. Shortly after, the Kwik Shop at 40th & A was robbed by a suspect fitting the same description.
A police officer located Jimmerson in a car at Git 'N Split near Sun Valley and West O. Police say his physical descripton and clothing were consistent with what was described by the victims. Another officer found Johnson inside the store.
