Two car accident overnight injures four people

Four people are recovering this morning after a two vehicle accident overnight. Lincoln Fire & Rescue had to use the jaws of life to free some of the victims.

Firefighters say it happened between 14th and Pioneers on Highway 2 just before 10 p.m. Thursday. Initial reports said a car engine was on fire, that wasn't the case, but it was serious.Someone was pinned inside their car and had to be freed using the jaws of life.

Four people were take  to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Thankfully, they're all expected to be okay.

Lincoln Police say they are still investigating what caused the accident. We'll bring you those details as soon as they become available.
