Two Lincoln schools compete in D.C. science bowl
Three teams of Nebraska students will compete in a national competition to see who knows more about science. Students from Lux Middle School and Lincoln East High School, both in Lincoln, and Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha will be in Washington, D.C., this weekend for the National Science Bowl.
This year's competition will begin Saturday. The bowl is a round-robin tournament in which students are quizzed on a variety of scientific topics, including astronomy, biology, computer science, physics and math. Each team is comprised of four students, an alternate and a teacher who coaches the students. The National Science Bowl is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy.
