Two Straight for Saltdogs at Sioux City

The Lincoln Saltdogs, behind a solid show from pitcher Adam
Lesko, defeated the Sioux City Explorers 13-6 earlier this evening. Both the
Saltdogs and Explorers now hold records of 9-6.

Fireworks were the theme of the night at Lewis and Clark Park where the
Lincoln Saltdogs faced the X¹s in the second stint of a three game series.
After nine innings of play, six home-runs were recorded.  Round-trippers
were collected by Corey Harris, in the first; Pichi Balet, in the second;
Bryan Warner, in the third; and Jake Whitesides, in the fourth. Homerun
hitters for the X¹s were Ryan Gripp and Dan Meier. Meier recorded his league
leading 7th homerun of the season.

Lesko pitched six innings, allowing four runs on nine hits. Relief pitchers
for the Saltdogs included Scott Fogelson, Brian Nendza and closer Humberto
Cardenas. Starting X¹s pitcher J.C. Huguet, pitched just over one inning,
allowing six earned runs and eight hits. Barry Mabry pitched the bulk of the
evening, achieving three strike outs, six hits and six runs.

At 5:05 p.m. tomorrow night the Sioux City Explorers will again meet the
