This weekend, more than 10,000 will run the Lincoln Marathon and Half-Marathon. Here's a little motivation as you finish up your training. “I ran it in 3 hours, 1 minute, 23 seconds,” Boston Marathon Finisher Eddie Walters said.

UNL Freshman Eddie Walters just ran the prestigious Boston Marathon, and finished in the top 3%.  He trained for 5 months, putting in more than 650 miles.  His advice for race week?  Stay hydrated, stay focused, and eat well.

“Especially when you're running the race people will get sidetracked by 'I'm cramping' or 'I'm slowing down…' for me when that happens I'll get a song stuck in my head. Just take it mile by mile you'll get there,” Walters said.

The Boston Marathon was Eddie's fourth and he says he's hoping to make UNL's cross country team. He ran in Nebraska gear and got plenty of 'Go Big Red' cheers from the crowd!
