UNL: Looking at Possible Censure
The states multi-million dollar budget shortfall could mean more major cuts in funding to the University of Nebraska. To ease the blow, U-N-L Chancellor Harvey Perlman is suggesting the elimination of tenured faculty. In response, the American Association of University professors , is now looking into censuring U-N-L.
Censuring is a type of reprimand. It's done when a college or university fails to comply with A-A-U-P administration standards. It's important to remember, none of the cuts are finalized.. The legislature has until June 6th to complete their budget.
