UNL Professor Accused Of Bringing Explosives To Class

A professor at UNL charged with bringing an explosive device to class was in court on Tuesday. Professor of Chemistry John Belot walked into court this afternoon quiet, refusing to talk our cameras.  Last Friday, students say during their chemistry class at Hamilton Hall, Belot brought a number of homemade explosive to class and afterwards he handed them to students.  His attorney asked the judge for a special hearing. If Belot is found guilty he could face up to 5 years in prison. The University has suspended him with pay.
