Lincoln police have arrested three men in connection with a Tuesday morning fire in northeast Lincoln.

At around 9 a.m., Lincoln Fire & Rescue were called to a fire at 2903 N. 44th St.  Lincoln Police say a neighbor witnessed a man leaving the home carrying a gas can.  The neighbor also saw flames coming from the duplex.

Police say the woman living there was able to escape through a laundry room window. Lincoln Fire & Rescue quickly contained the fire, which caused extensive damage.

Through interviews, Lincoln Police Department investigators determined that three men had been visiting the 30-year old female resident.  Police say after several hours of methamphetamine use, a drug induced argument arose.  Police say the men left and returned with a can of gasoline to set a fire inside the home.

All three men were arrested for 1st degree arson, a Class II Felony.  The men, 30-year old Christopher Keith, 24-year old Tyler McCarty, and 30-year old Johnathon Watson are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
